Easy Baguette Recipe

These easy French Baguettes are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G in every way.
Easy baguette recipe. The billowing steam created by the boiling water will help the baguettes rise and give them a lovely shiny crust. Spray loaves with water and then add to oven. Let bake for 5 minutes 25 min mark and then spray with water.
Mix the dry ingredients together and add water. Carefully pour the boiling water into the cast iron pan and quickly shut the oven door. Shape into baguettes about 12 inches logs and cover letting them rise for about 60 to 90 minutes.
Knead until the salt is incorporated and the dough is smooth and elastic about 6 minutes. They are crispy and firm on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle. Cover with plastic bag and let it rest for another 30 mins when it doubles in size.
Just before baking slash the top of each baguette three times. Flatten dough into an oval and fold again. With this Easy French Baguettes recipe you only need to bake your baguettes ONCE for 20 to 25 minutes at 180C 356F.
After another 7 minutes at 18 min mark spray. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. This is a crusty French bread.
